Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other
navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches"
or "caches". No experience necessary!
Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Nature Walk and Creative Cafe at Minnekhada Park
Join us as we take an easy walk through Minnekhada Regional Park and end
up at the Creative Cafe. The Creative Cafe involves fun, creative
activities hosted by the Minnekhada Park Association.
Sunday, July 7 at
Belcarra Regional Park.
Be a park steward and help remove ivy (an invasive
species) at Belcarra Regional Park! This event is hosted by Metro Vancouver
Parks and the Lower Mainland Green Team.
The event runs from 9:45-1 however I wouldn't expect
younger members to enjoy participating for that long. (I would expect mine to
last an hour at the most). However, there is a wonderful beach to explore, an
extensive trail system and a playground at the picnic area. Bring a picnic
lunch and stay to enjoy the park for a while!
