Join the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre’s own group of nature explorers! We meet once per month usually on a Sunday from 1 to 2:30 pm. Guest scientists, we call Nature Mentors, will share their love of nature with us.
The Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre has several enthusiastic leaders for our NatureKids Club programs. Tricia is the head emailer, and she’ll sign you up for the club and let you know about other NatureKids events.

Visit Maplewood Mudflats, a unique intertidal mudflat on the North Shore. Learn about its shoreline life and its importance as stop-off for migratory birds; then help keep the Mudflats clean.

Who's that buzzing around your garden? Bees are about much more than honey. Both honey bees and native species are an integral part of the plant life cycle. Local beekeeper Lianne Shyry will guide you through the world of bumblebees, mason bees, honey bees, and more.

Solitary bees make homes in hollow, tube-like structures that can be naturally occurring or created by humans. The naturally occurring ones are disappearing from the Lower Mainland, but we can help! Learn about bees while making structures for leaf cutter bees to lay eggs in and hide from predators. This workshop is in partnership with Science in Action and is designed for students from K - Grade 7.

Jenna is an experienced tracker who will talk about tracking some of the temperate forest's most fascinating creatures: wolves and coyotes.
