YNC 7th AGM



In keeping with the YNC's aim to learn about and explore nearby nature, this year's AGM was held at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve and we spent much more time outdoors than in! A huge thank you to the Eastern Fraser Valley YNC members who delivered a presentation on Bats and then took us on an interpretive walk to see a number of the bat boxes they recently installed as part of the YNC small stewardship grants project. Cynthia Berg, the EFV YNC Club Volunteer Leader not only arranged for all our meeting needs and was a wonderful hostess but also led us on a walk to see the second largest heronry in BC. We were joined by Ian Davidson of Nature Canada (he's the one strolling with YNC founder and Honorary President, Daphne Solecki), a number of YN Board, members and staff- we even had one departing Board member skype in from Guatemala!
