Dr. Rob Butler is an ornithologist and author of several books. For many years he was a senior research scientist with the Canadian Wildlife Service. He is a scientific advisor to Bird Studies Canada, and recently, among other projects -he coordinated the launch of the British Columbia Breeding Bird Atlas. Rob is a long time member of both the Nature Vancouver and BC Nature, and as such he was the first to propose the creation of the Young Naturalists’ Club of British Columbia. He has been a Director of the YNC from its start in 2000, stepping down only last year. The YNC Board of Directors invited him to become an Honourary Director and are very pleased that he accepted this position and that we can continue to draw on his wide expertise in nature and his organizational abilities.
The Nature Exploration Club for Families.... NatureKids BC helps children get outdoors to explore, play, learn about and take action for nature. We are a province-wide network of volunteer-led nature clubs for children ages 5-12 and their families. Membership is only $25 per family per year-- join the club and come explore with us!
